About Direct Seafoods Colchester
Direct Seafoods Colchester supply quality fresh fish and seafood to the catering industry in the East of England.
Direct Seafoods was born in Colchester in 1984 where they began supplying locally caught fish to local customers. The business may have grown dramatically since then, however the values still remain: Quality fish, quality service.
Direct Seafoods Colchester supply restaurants, hotels and bars not only within the local area but as far north as Sheffield, Eastwards to the Lincolnshire coast and South to the Kent/Sussex coast. (Excluding London)
We source our fresh fish from local day boat fisherman on a daily basis. Our fleet of refrigerated vehicles collects the fish directly from fishermen in Newhaven, Hastings and the Kent coast as well as Suffolk and Norfolk, offering us a greater variety of fish and seafood. The fish is typically landed and in our ‘fridges within 8-10 hours, it is then delivered to our customers within 12 hours. This ensures that our customers are served the freshest, most sustainable fish possible.
We provide the freshest local fish possible along with shellfish and other specialty products from around the world. We buy our fish from sustainable sources to ensure you, our customers have the peace of mind of knowing where your fish and seafood has come from.
